THE LOCKER ROOM

Recovery · 3 MIN READ · B.T.C EDITORIAL

Quiet is a training ground, too.

There is strength in knowing when to step back.

There is strength in knowing when to step back.

Not every useful moment looks like effort. Sometimes it looks like stepping away from the noise, letting a difficult day settle, or making room for something beyond your sport.

Recovery is not a reward you earn by performing well. Physical recovery should follow the guidance of your coaches and qualified care team. Mentally, it can begin with giving yourself permission not to analyze every moment immediately.

Try a short reflection after you have had time to settle: what happened, what did I learn, what comes next? Keep those questions separate from the question of your worth.

You are allowed to be a competitor and a person. Rest, perspective, and connection belong in the life you are building, not only after you reach the next goal.
